What to see in Cannes
The busiest months are July and August but there is plenty to see during the rest of the year. In particular, 18 - 19 September is Heritage Weekend when all historical places are open and free. It is part of the European Heritage Days festival.
Day Trip from Cannes
For Day trips further afield a car is usually a necessity. We can recommend the Verdon Gorges and Valley of the Roya as spectacular places to visit.
Sightseeing in Cannes
Every Thursday and Sunday beginning at 10.30am there is a one and half hour tour (in French) around Le Suquet starting at Castre Museum for 6.30 euros
On Fridays at 2.30pm it is in English. Booking essential - at the Tourist Office.
