What to see in Cannes
The busiest months are July and August but there is plenty to see during the rest of the year. In particular, 18th and 19th September is Heritage Weekend when all historical places are open and free. It is part of the European Heritage Days festival.
Day Trip from Cannes
For Day trips further afield a car is usually a necessity. We can recommend the Verdon Gorges and Valley of the Roya as spectacular places to visit.
Sightseeing in Cannes
Every Thursday and Sunday beginning at 10.30am there is a one and half hour tour (in French) around Le Suquet starting at Castre Museum for 6.30 euros
On Fridays at 2.30pm it is in English. Booking essential - at the Tourist Office.
