Night Clubs can stay open until 7am but the bars must close at 5.30am. The aim is for you all to be able to take a bus or a train home instead of driving!
Leave the car at home - for summer, excellent night bus service runs till 2.30am and the normal day buses start at 5.30am. Not as good, but a winter service is also available.
Le Square Dansant - summer only
Want to dance in each other's arms - used to be called ballroom dancing? Head for Square Verdun, opposite Bijou Plage. From 8.30pm until 12.30am, entry 10 euros. Dates for 2024: July August . Bar, tables and chairs, live orchestra, dance floor and even "taxi-boys" available. The latter are men available to dance with women without a partner. They think of everything these Frenchies!
Establishment is open all year from midnight till 7am Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Free entry for women before 1am.

Hotel 3.14 rooftop, 5 rue Francois Einesy: boasts a Lebanese restaurant and cool lounge bar. It is now part of the casino so you need a passport or identity card to get in. Often features a silent disco.
The top people's club is Bâoli at Port Canto on the Croisette, where you can dance in the open air. Free entry.
This is a luxury restaurant and club. Guests enter through huge wooden Balinese doors and the whole feeling of "Buddha cool" is echoed throughout the venue. Celebrities frequent the place which boasts an ultra swish restaurant. Expect a menu that includes noodles and spicy beef dishes as well as potent cocktails - expect to pay at least 75 euros pp for dinner. Doors open 8pm, music hots up from midnight. Dress - chic and glamorous. Be warned - it is exclusive and can be difficult to get in. Well that's what they say! Free entry.

Doors open at 7pm for drinks and tapas on the apero terrace with views over the old port and Le Suquet. From midnight the club atmosphere takes over. There are two resident DJs. Entry is free and drinks cost 15 euros. Find it at Casino Croisette, jetee Albert-Edouard. Open all year.
Carre d'Or: this area in the heart of Cannes is packed with bars, restaurants and clubs. Many start out the evening as bars and restaurants turning disco/club later in the evening. As this area has many residents most venues close about two or three in the morning.
Know your music?
House: started in 1977 by DJ Frankie Knuckles at The Warehouse club in Chicago. It is an up tempo style of disco music
Techno: emerged from House music in Detroit in the mid 1980s. It is instrumental and has repetitive four by four beats. Not to be confused with EDM - Electronic Dance Music.
Drum & Bass: started in early 90s and is characterised by fast breakbeats with heavy bass, sub bass lines and sometimes infra bass lines.

Antibes - La Siesta is right on the beach with a dance floor open to the heavens. You can choose to dine in the restaurant and enjoy dancing later or go to the club direct from 11.30pm. The VIP area is open to those who ask! All ages welcome from 18 years. Entry is 25 euros including one alcoholic drink or two non alcoholic. A snack bar is available with everything at 5 euros. After 55+ years this is a genuine Cote d'Azur hotspot. Tel: 04 93 33 31 31. Parking is free or take the train, one stop after Antibes town.
