Ferry & Boat Trips from Cannes
The ferry from Cannes to Theoule, and on to La Figueirette, is called Navette Maritime and runs from July 5 till 31 August. The all day ticket costs 10 euros (five for kids) and you can get off and on anywhere on route. Tickets from Tourist offices and Riviera Lines at the ports. The boat leaves Cannes ferry port, Quai Laubeuf, at 9.15am, 11.15am, 2.30pm and 4.30pm. Last boat back arrives Cannes at 7pm.
Riviera Lines (www.riviera-lines.com) also offers regular ferries to St Marguerite at 18,50 euros for adults; 17 for seniors and 12.50 for kids.

Corniche d'Or - two hour cruise along the Esterel coast. 29 May to 27 September every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Fireworks in the Bay - Leave the quay at 9.15pm returning about 11pm. Costs 32euros. A dinner cruise and fireworks leaving at 8pm it costs 90/80 euros.
Royal Regattas - follow these magnificent yachts, 30 and 47 euros for final day.
Catamaran Cruises - half and full days swimming, snorkelling, fun and buffet lunch on a sail catamaran. In addition there are sunset cruises, firework and Regatta trips It is also available for charter and private hire.

Get off the St Marguerite ferry and head towards the Grand Jardin property: about 20 minutes walk. Here you will find a small beach from which you swim 80m out to sea and when directly opposite the Grand Jardin property... Dive. The sculptures are between 3-5m under the water. You can visit all year with snorkels or scuba diving.

Abbaye de Lerins, St Honorat
An unusual place for lunch is La Tonnelle restaurant, at the Abbaye de Lerins, on the Ile St Honorat. It is open almost all year, lunchtime only (noon till 3pm).
Great views of Cannes from the restaurant and you can sample some of the monks highly praised wines which were served at the G20 dinner for all heads of state.

There is also a snack bar called Les Canisses. Both are open only for lunch and are open every day. Annual closure mid November to mid December.
The wines produced by the monks can be bought in the abbey's shop. The abbey has been occupied for 16 centuries. Mass is held at 11.25am Monday to Saturday and at 9.50am on Sundays. It is possible to stay at the abbey for a period of spiritual retreat... and in silence. Contact [email protected]
