The 78th Cannes Film Festival, running from 13–24 May 2025, promises another dazzling celebration of world cinema on the French Riviera. This year’s Official Selection is dedicated to the memory of Émilie Dequenne and features an impressive blend of established auteurs and fresh voices, including new films from Wes Anderson, Ari Aster, Julia Ducournau, and the Dardenne brothers.

The Un Certain Regard section highlights exciting directorial debuts from Scarlett Johansson and Kristen Stewart, while out-of-competition screenings bring high-profile premieres and tributes, ensuring a diverse and vibrant program for cinephiles and industry insiders alike.

A major highlight of this year’s festival is the presentation of the Honorary Palme d’Or to screen legend Robert De Niro, who will also deliver a special masterclass. Cannes 2025 further embraces innovation with its Immersive Competition, showcasing cutting-edge works in virtual and mixed reality at the iconic Carlton Hotel, judged by a distinguished international jury.

As always, visitors and locals can enjoy free open-air screenings on the beach, affordable tickets through Cannes Cinéphiles, and live broadcasts of red carpet arrivals and press conferences, making the magic of Cannes accessible to all.
